I am commanded by the Army Council to forward,
for the information of the Lords Commissioners of His
Majesty's Treasury, copies of correspondence received
from the Colonial Office regarding the winding up of
the Praya Reclamation Fund.
Having regard to the fact that, in accordance
with Hong Kong Ordinance No. 16 of 1889, Section 7 (VIII),
this fund was created from revenue which has, in
previous years, been assessed to military contribution,
the Council see no objection to the exclusion of the
payments to be made to the Colony, on the winding up of
the fund, from the revenue liable to military contribution.
